Prepare

Visas and passports
All passengers arriving into Australia should have a valid visa which should be arranged before entering the country. Visit the Department of Home Affairs website for more information.
Your baggage
The number of bags and the weight of each item you can take on your flight is determined by your airline – they’ll let you know at the time of booking, so check your confirmation.
What you cannot take onboard
For everyone’s safety and comfort, there are also rules on what you can take on your flight including powders, liquids, aerosols and gels. Head to the Australian Border Force website to find out the rules.
Shop, click and collect
Shop from the convenience of your own home up to 48 hours before your flight. Browse through Heinemann’s large range of products online, and we'll have your purchases ready for pick up before you depart so you can breeze through the airport.
Duty free allowances for arriving passengers
If you're bringing duty free items into Australia, concession limits do apply for both visitors and Australian residents. Please make sure you read and comply with these limits, or you will be charged duty and tax on all items - not just the items which exceed the limits.
Travel insurance
Travel with ease by taking out appropriate travel insurance before you depart. Travel insurance is designed to cover against personal, baggage and some cancellation risks. It also helps protect against the high cost of emergency medical and hospital care overseas. Speak with your insurer for advice, or talk to an insurance provider at the airport before you leave.
Book Hotels
Get organised and book your airport stay in advance.
